SAINTE MAXIME Taxi Transfer

Halfway between Saint Tropez and Fréjus, the large town (population 11,000+) of Ste Maxime is relatively new by local standards. It was formed in the mid-17th century by linking two domains – the “Seigneurie” of Revest and the “Seigneurie” of the Bastides de Sainte Maxime and Saint-Pierre de Miramas. At the time, it is said, the only building between them was the 16th-century Tour Carrée, or square tower, which still stands – today housing the local history museum.
