MANDELIEU LA NAPOULE Taxi Transfer

Mandelieu is a small town on the edge of the Massif du Tanneron, west of Cannes, and one of the stops on the Route de Mimosa. A leading resort of the Belle Époque, its popularity was later overtaken by the coastal towns of the Riviera. Today, it is known for several golf courses and extensive marina facilities, but it is primarily residential. For casual visitors, one of the main attractions is the Chateau de la Napoule, a castle right at the water’s edge that is not at all what it seems. This massive 14th-century fortress had been a ruined glass factory when, in 1918, it was somewhat imaginatively restored and rebuilt by an American sculptor, Henry Clews, with the help of his wealthy architect wife.
